This is my 1988 BMW 735i.  It's from Arizona or Texas or some such place with no winter, and it shows.  There is zero rust on it, which is basically its only saving grace at this moment.  I've already replaced the transmission and tires, and broke the windshield while replacing the wipers.  Good times!

I have a list of things I need or want done to the car eventually.  Some I'm in the process of doing, others, not so much.

  • Replacing the old matte wood trim with the newer gloss trim.
  • New wheels.  I have the original rims on one side of the car at the moment, and hubcaps on the other.
  • Keyless entry.  I don't want an aftermarket one.  I'd prefer to get one from a later e32 and fit it in.
  • New headliner.  The interior is grey now, but I think I'd like to go with a black headliner.  I'm saving that for when I have the wiring for the keyless entry, which will have to go above the headliner.
  • Rear bumper trim replacement.  The black plastic piece of the rear bumper is cracked.  I'm not sure yet how to replace it.  I should look that up...
  • I'm on the fence about tinting the windows.  In some cases, it looks pretty shabby, and I don't want my car to look shabby.  But I've also seen some excellent tint jobs.  So at the moment, I'll just remain undecided.
  • Radio upgrade.  This was one of the first things I actually did accomplish.  I was given the stock radio, but it didn't fit any of the jacks that were in there.  So I put a Kenwood unit in there with Bluetooth and Pandora ability.
